Swirling cosmic & unusual sounds for your ears & minds: Bringing you the spirit of 60s & 70s free-form radio! The program's focus is mostly centered on the Garage Band Era and British Invasion music, but THE WAX MUSEUM caters to all types and forms of rock and roll and it's offshoots (including Surf/Hot Rod, obscure Progressive Rock, AOR (album oriented radio), Soul/R&B and Fusion music). We are always taking requests!
“I had this idea for many years”, states host Ronnie Dark, a veteran of Central New York radio for over ten years. “I was unable to interest the radio station I worked for at the time with my idea. I found a very receptive audience with the people at WVOA. I’m happy that THE WAX MUSEUM has found a home on the dial and with such a good company. Radio to me is still a great medium. I have faith that as long as programs like mine, Bob Pietrucha’s Polish Radio Show and Soundcheck exist people will continue to listen to the radio.”
Ronnie's co-host on the WAX MUSEUM is Mike Adams "The Night Owl" whose also an avid record collector and music lovers! Mike likes all things wild and strange! Ron and Mike both bring their unique and creative knowledge and experience to the show!
THE WAX MUSEUM is broadcast Sunday nights on WVOA 87.7 FM from 7-10pm. People can also listen online anywhere in the world at http://www.wvoaradio.com/listenonline.html
